Argid was the oldest son of Morthur Swordbreaker. Although he was the eldest male of Morthur's children, he remained prince of the Orado Empire for his entire life. His elder and only sister Aivra inherited the throne after their father's death, as it is the custom in the Orado Empire that the firstborn child of a king or queen shall be heir and ruler when the current sovereign dies or steps down from the throne.
